In this article, we discuss the new Action Camera of Polaroid Cube+. What changes from the previous version? Now you connect wifi and record video at 1440p.
The wifi connection lets you see what you’re framing on the cellphone display through the app that lets you set, record, take pictures, timelaps, or slow motion.
It has also been implemented an image stabilizer that performs well its work, the audio is good and has no distibution (it does not have a crystal clear sound, but it is always clear and sharp), now SD supports up to 128 GB very useful as the 1080p to 60fps movies weighs a lot.
The Polaroid Cube+ sensor is said to be an 8 mpx but actually is a 4 mpx interpolated to 8, videos and photos tend to ” shoot ” the reds, which is pretty normal for this kind of sensors nothing annoying, in the videos the outlines are very defined in contrast to gopro hero 4 which tends to ” knead ” everything.
- The most fun action room in the world and the lively lifestyle in a small cubic package.
- 8MP CMOS sensor for crisp images; full HD video report (720p, 1080p or 1440p).
- 124° wide angle lens that captures effortless and vibrant scenes.
- The built-in rechargeable battery records 107 minutes of continuous charge per charge.
- Many magnetic clips ow / clips for a world of applications from stimulating actions.
- Wi-Fi enabled.
The battery of Polaroid Cube+ is not replaceable, it will u problem when it runs out, I assume it’s cheaper to change the camera. The stated duration is 90min, but I managed to get it only 60.
The box includes the bumper (very useful) and a sd from the ridiculous 8gb capacity. All accessories in the old model work smoothly even though, unfortunately, they do not shine for solidity and are very expensive.
Conclusions
The battery life is really limiting, but if you’re looking for a good-quality camera to film and share your moments right now or to get closer to the action world, the Polaroid Cube+ is a good compromise.
Pros : Design, Size, Connectivity.
Cons : Low battery life.
